Overview of Vermont ACP

Who is eligible?

Survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and stalking are eligible for Vermont’s ACP.


Who is covered?

Minor children, dependents, and guardians living in the household of an eligible applicant are covered by Vermont’s ACP.


How does the application process work?

Vermont ACP applicants must apply with an approved application assistant when filling out the application. Applicants must confirm they are eligible for the program but no additional evidence or action with law enforcement is required.


How does the program protect your address information?

Once admitted into Vermont’s ACP, a participant will be assigned a substitute mail forwarding address for 4 years. This address may be used to register to vote or enroll in school or obtain a marriage license or driver’s license.
