Overview of Minnesota ACP

Who is eligible?

Survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and harassment are eligible for Minnesota’s ACP. However, anyone with a safety need is also eligible.


Who is covered?

Minor children, dependents, guardians and other persons living in the household of an eligible applicant are covered by Minnesota’s ACP.


How does the application process work?

Minnesota ACP applicants must apply with an approved application assistant when filling out the application. Applicants must confirm they are eligible for the program but no additional evidence or action with law enforcement is required.


How does the program protect your address information?

Once admitted into Minnesota’s ACP, a participant will be assigned a substitute mail forwarding address for 4 years. This address may be used to register to vote or enroll in school, purchase new property, or obtain a marriage license or driver’s license.
