Overview of Mississippi ACP

Who is eligible?

Survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and stalking are eligible for Mississippi’s ACP.


Who is covered?

Minor children, dependents or guardians living in the household of an eligible applicant are covered by Mississippi’s ACP.


How does the application process work?

Mississippi ACP applicants must apply with an approved application assistant when filling out the application. To locate an application assistant, applicants may email victimassistance@ago.ms.gov or call (601) 359-6766 or (800) 829-6766. Additionally, some form of proof of their victimization may be required, although action with law enforcement is not required.


How does the program protect your address information?

Once admitted into Mississippi’s ACP, a participant will be assigned a substitute mail forwarding address for 4 years. This address may be used to register to vote or enroll in school, obtain a marriage license or driver’s license.
