Alabama does not have an Address Confidentiality Program. However, the state does have a program to assist in voter confidentiality.

What is the law?


Alabama has a law that allows specific individuals to register to vote without publicizing personal information other than their name.


Who is eligible?


Domestic violence survivors and their minors; prosecutors, judges, legislators, and law enforcement officers, and their spouses are eligible for this program.


How does the application process work?

If eligible, an applicant may apply using a form found on the Secretary of State’s website using either for domestic violence survivors or the form for all other eligible persons. Applicant will need to return the form to their county's Board of Registrars office.
